About the comparison
How we compare transfer quotes
Use Ledgerton to build a shortlist, understand the limits of each reported offer, and confirm a transfer directly with the provider.

Where the prices come from
Most available quotes come from a Wise-operated comparison feed, including its competitor data. Wise is itself a transfer provider. Its feed is a starting point for comparison, rather than an independent survey of every provider. Read Wise’s comparison disclaimer and comparison API documentation.
When the feed does not include OFX, Ledgerton can use an available customer estimate from OFX’s public service. We do not invent a missing price. A separate provider-information link is not a priced offer and does not enter the receipt ranking.
What the ranking means
For your sending currency and exact amount, the full comparison orders available quotes by the reported INR recipient amount, highest first. It shows one offer per provider, not every possible funding or receiving option. We retain the reported receipt rather than treating the exchange rate alone as the result.
A higher listed receipt is not a promise that a provider will deliver more rupees at checkout. Quotes can come from different collection times, use different assumptions or include a conditional promotion. Your location, verification status and receiving method can change the available offer. We do not know your promotion eligibility.
The two-provider guide widgets compare their named pair only. Your shortlist compares the providers you select. A numerical receipt difference appears only when the quotes meet our timing checks; the shortlist also requires a matching known payment method. Missing or incompatible offers remain explicit instead of becoming a zero price or a winner.
Fees, funding and the final amount
Compare the total amount you will be charged, the reported fee and the INR receipt together. A zero reported fee does not establish zero total cost. Funding charges, exchange-rate differences and receiving-bank charges may affect your actual transfer.
The bank-transfer label on feed quotes is Ledgerton’s funding assumption; we do not verify a funding choice for your account or identify a cash-pickup offer from that label. Delivery estimates are not guarantees. Confirm the payment method, receiving method, limits, documents, total debit and final receipt with the provider before paying.
Two timestamps, with different meanings
“Retrieved by Ledgerton” records when we fetched a quote. “Source collected” records the collection time supplied by the feed, when known. Neither tells you when the provider last changed its price. A recently retrieved result can contain a much older source price; missing source time stays unknown.
The quote cache lasts 15 minutes. Scheduled checks and on-demand requests can refresh it, but service interruptions can delay them. Refreshing does not guarantee a newer source price. Before showing a receipt difference, both relevant clocks must be under 15 minutes old and within two minutes across the compared offers.
The history chart shows daily snapshots of retrieved comparison data. Original source collection times were not recorded in that history. It is not a guaranteed executable rate or a record of your personal transfers.
Coverage and missing offers
Ledgerton supports comparisons from USD, GBP, AED, SGD, CAD and AUD to INR. Availability depends on the currency, amount and usable source data. We do not cover every provider, country or service, and the currency selector does not establish your eligibility. One returned quote is limited coverage, not a market-wide recommendation.
An unavailable quote does not establish that the provider cannot serve you. Check directly. Use the same budget and receiving method at each checkout, particularly if you need cash pickup, UPI or a specific bank deposit.
Affiliate links and your choices
Ledgerton may earn a commission through some provider links. This does not change the order of the reported receipts or the providers you select. A configured destination can be an affiliate link or a direct provider website; its presence does not mean a commercial partnership is approved. A click is not proof of a completed transfer.
You complete any transfer with the provider. Ledgerton does not book a transfer, reserve a price or approve your account through a comparison result.
Saving a setup and using rate alerts
Saving is optional and keeps one setup on this browser: sending currency, amount, selected providers and save time. It does not save prices or sync to an account. Avoid saving on a shared device; browser clearing removes the setup. Use “Remove saved setup” to clear it.
Reopening requests available quotes again. The response can use a cache, and source dates can still be old. Missing selected providers stay unavailable. Our custom comparison analytics excludes amounts, private links and saved-plan contents; ordinary website requests still carry the information needed to load your comparison.
Rate alerts are separate from saved setups. They require email verification and check a rate-only goal for a standard transfer amount; they do not track your actual recipient amount or include fees. Both collection and retrieval clocks must qualify before a check can trigger. Availability and source age can delay a check; no email delivery or target rate is guaranteed.
